When do Whatnot sellers get paid?
Most earnings unlock after confirmed delivery, Early Payout at label generation, then payouts land in days. The clocks, by country.
The short answer
Two clocks run between a sale and your bank account. First your earnings become available, which for most sellers happens after the carrier confirms delivery; then you request a payout, which in most countries lands within 1 to 2 business days. Sellers with Early Payout skip the first clock entirely: their earnings become available as soon as they generate the shipping label. Everything below matches Whatnot's help article on getting paid as updated 13 August 2026.
When earnings become available, by country
Without Early Payout, the standard timelines are:
- US, Canada and Japan: up to 4 hours after confirmed delivery.
- UK, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium and Australia: confirmed delivery plus a 96-hour payment settlement period counted from the sale, then up to 4 hours of processing. Both have to pass, so a fast delivery still waits out the settlement window.
- Germany: 4 days after label generation. France depends on the carrier.
With Early Payout, none of that applies: earnings become available at label generation. This is also the line that decides which week a sale lands in on your Weekly Order Report, because the report only carries completed transactions.
No tracking, fixed clocks
Shipping methods without standard tracking follow fixed timelines instead of delivery confirmation: bring your own label is 7 days after the tracking number is entered, free pickup is 3 days from the order or the pickup, and the one card sellers should know by heart: a USPS First-Class Mail Letter, the plain white envelope, is 10 days after label generation. Ship singles in PWEs and your money spends a week and a half in processing by design, not because anything went wrong.
How do you get paid on Whatnot?
Once earnings sit in your available balance, you request a payout. Most countries see it arrive within 1 to 2 business days; Australia and Japan run 2 to 3, Canada 3 to 4, and weekends and banking holidays never count. The status of every sale and payout lives in Seller Hub under Payouts, in the Transactions view on mobile and the Ledger on the web. Tips follow their own timeline.
When a deposit does not match the week you expected, how to reconcile Whatnot payouts traces it back through the report.
Paid is not profit
The number that arrives is your payout: what remained after the fees came out, with refunds already netted. It says nothing about what the inventory cost you, which is why a healthy payout and a losing month can coexist quietly. Our guide to how to track your profit on Whatnot closes that gap, and BreakCount does it automatically: import the weekly report, add one cost per lot, and every show gets a verdict with its real net profit.
